Privacy policy

PRL Pouches ("PRL", "we", "us") runs pearlpouches.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for Quebec residents, Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email, phone number (optional), province, shipping and billing address, order details, pack and flavour choices, and messages you send us.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.
- Information collected automatically: device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed and how you reached our site, collected through cookies and similar tools (including Shopify analytics and, if you agree, the Meta Pixel).
Why we use it
- To hold your founder reservation and email you when it's ready
- To process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions
- To send marketing emails or texts, only if you've agreed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To run our creator and referral programs
- To improve our site, prevent fraud and meet legal and tax obligations
- To measure and improve our advertising, if you've agreed to marketing cookies
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, under contracts that protect it: Shopify (store and checkout), our payment processors, our shipping carriers (such as Canada Post and Chit Chats), our email and SMS provider, and advertising platforms such as Meta, only for measurement and only with your consent. Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We don't sell your personal information.
Cookies
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and change your choice at any time. Essential cookies needed for the cart and checkout are always on.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as tax law requires (generally 6 years in Canada). We keep marketing contacts until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Reservation details are deleted 24 months after our launch if you don't buy.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, withdraw your consent to marketing at any time, and, if you live in Quebec, ask for your information in a portable format. Email privacy@pearlpouches.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Children
Our store is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
